We now offer a 2 day Beginner Custom Training Retreat.
Day One: Bunches of Borders
9:00am - 5:00pm
30 Borders Designs
Techniques Taught: Freehand, Templates, Rulers.
A variety of designs in all of the borders.
Your finished Border Quilt, will be 60 x 80
A perfect way to display all of the border treatments learned.
Day Two: Custom Fillers
9:00am - 5:00pm
Techniques Taught: Templates, Rulers, Freehand.
A variety of designs in all of the squares and spaces in the quilt top.
Your finished Amish Quilt Top will measure, approximately 50 x - 50
A perfect way to display the custom quilting techniques learned.
Extras:
Demos of Loading the quilt with Velcro Leaders.
Demos of the Sweatshirt Jacket on the Longarm Quilting Machine.
Cost:
Class Quilt Tops:
I will send you the directions, so you can make your quilt tops ahead of time.
Or you can purchase the pre-made quilt tops for this class.
Class Machines:
We limit the Beginner Custom Quilting Retreat to 4 attendees.
You will have your own machine to use for the two day training retreat.
You will not share a machine with others.
You will use a machine that you have or a machine that is similar to what you own.
Option: You can bring your quilt machine with you and use it in class. Tom will
unload it from your vehicle and put it on one of our frames. Tom will load it into
your vehicle after the training retreat.
FYI. There are no beginner skills taught in this class.
No class time will be spent on basic skills like, loading, threading, maintenance,
basics etc. You should be comfortable with all of the basic longarm skills.
If you have not taken the beginner class, you may want to consider this class first.
If you are comfortable with the beginner aspects of longarm quilting, this will be a
great Beginner Custom Training Class for you.
