Keeping the thread under the "Dog Leg" when quilting.
|
That darn dog leg. That darn dog, keeps lifting his leg, when I am trying to quilt. I hate that dog.....

If you find that your thread is jumping out from under the "Dog Leg" when you are quilting,
resulting in "loopies" on the back side, here is an easy tip you can try.
1) Choose a hair pin, bobby pin, large paper clip, or large gauge wire bent into a "U" shape.
2) Place it under the "Dog Leg".
3) Secure it by taping it to the under side of the machine.
4) Thread your machine normally, when you get to the "Dog Leg", put the thread above your
new guide.
5) Your thread will now be secure, and won't jump out, when you aren't looking.
